A new era for the Hamline Midway Library in 2010 Mark your calendar for a Community Input Meeting on Thursday, August 6th from 6-8 p.m. in Room 106 of Hamline University's East Hall (formerly the Law and Graduate Schools Building) next to tennis courts close to southeast corner of Pascal & Hewitt. For the campus map, click here. Park in lots or on street. Refreshments will be provided. The Hamline Midway Library is going to change significantly and a Library Task Force was formed to generate concrete ideas by September 2009 for a new path forward that will keep the Hamline Midway Library open for the long term. The Task Force needs YOUR ideas and input - whether you are a regular library user or not. Come brainstorm and share your ideas with the Task Force on: * What services or resources are missing in our neighborhood? How can we meet these needs through joint use (shared use of the Library facility) or joint venture (collaboration and shared use of resources, staff and facility) with the Hamline Midway Library? Please bring neighbors, friends, and family! For more information on this meeting or the Task Force process, please contact Councilmember Russ Stark's office at 651-266-8641 or visit http://www.stpaul.gov/index.aspx?NID=3195 ** An online survey will be available soon - check back at the end of July. |
